It has been a good month. I have had the fortune of running in the right circles. It turns out some people are running in those same circles, although they may be just passing me by on the way to their Point B, I still have met them, and that has been good. So I guess this is my blog entry for what I am thankful for this year, my pre-thanksgiving blessing.
I am thankful to meet AJ Viola, a man who has managed to create more than 24 hours out of the day and has been so gracious in allowing me to share my passion for roasting with his Raleigh Coffee Club. AJ also introduced me to Joseph Bland, owner and roaster of the emerging powerhouse Raleigh Coffee Company. Joseph is the most likely candidate to be running in circles too, but his circle runs a bit larger as he is about to open his own roastery in N. Raleigh and will soon be featured in the News and Observer. I look forward to more meetings with him to hatch a plan for friendly world domination. I am thankful to Christina Coffee for actually putting forth real effort in helping me find a space for the café downtown. Hunter & Associates is lucky to have you.
Lastly, I am thankful to my wife and son, I know that is cliché, but to be honest, it is not because they support me, but because they are entertaining as hell.
The hunt continues for a café space, I smelled blood last week and I am currently tracking in the warehouse district of downtown Raleigh. Leaving no trace untracked.
